Who is responsible
Makanak is the customer-facing brand of بوك مكانك لحجز الفنادق ووسائل النقل (Book Makanak for Hotel and Transportation Booking), commercial registration 1020408, based in Sana'a, Yemen. Privacy questions can be sent to support@bookmakanak.com.
Information we may collect
Depending on the features you use, we may process your name, telephone number, email, account preferences, booking and guest details, communications, reviews, saved properties, payment status, device and security logs, approximate location, and precise location only when you grant permission. We also use essential cookies or browser storage for sessions, locale, currency, security, and navigation continuity.
Why we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts, respond to requests, prepare or fulfill bookings, communicate service updates, prevent fraud, improve reliability, meet legal obligations, and support property owners and travelers.
When information is shared
We may share only the information needed with property operators and service providers supporting hosting, authentication, mapping, notifications, communications, payments, and infrastructure. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service. We do not sell personal information.
WhatsApp authentication
If WhatsApp one-time codes become available, we will use your telephone number for that purpose only after you choose WhatsApp as a delivery method. Meta and WhatsApp will process the message delivery, and another available verification method will be offered.
Retention
We retain information only for the service purpose and applicable legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution periods. After a verified deletion request, eligible data will be deleted within 30 days; limited records may be retained when legally required or necessary to prevent fraud or resolve transactions.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your information and may withdraw optional permissions through your device or account settings. Send privacy requests to support@bookmakanak.com. We may verify your identity before acting on a request.
Age requirement
Makanak accounts and booking services are intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so never share passwords or one-time verification codes with anyone.
